Villa Family Construction is led by founder Declan Villa, a third-generation Sonoma & Marin County native whose life has been defined by a deep connection to the land and a tireless work ethic. This isn't just a career in construction. It's a story of family heritage, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence.

It started on a property in Petaluma, where working with his hands became a way of life. As a boy he was already on job sites, tying rebar on home foundations and learning the value of building something meant to last.

That foundation carried through high school, where his passion for architecture earned multiple local design awards. He went on to Colorado State University, focusing on Business Finance and Management with a minor in Construction Management.

Back in Petaluma, he rejoined the family trade and was promoted to Foreman young, leading a crew of men significantly older than him. It was a crash course in leadership: proving that respect is earned through competence and shared hard work. Later, a move to Montana opened the next chapter. By his mid-twenties, he was overseeing a portfolio that included $3M custom luxury homes, $12M airport hangars, and a $25M corporate headquarters.

In 2023, Declan returned home to Petaluma and officially launched Villa Family Construction. What started as a one-man show has become a thriving company of seven dedicated employees, a team he credits for the company's swift success. Whether he's managing a job site or at home with his family, he remains committed to the craftsmanship and integrity that have defined the Villa name for three generations.
